Working in Projects

Projects are an effective way to live JCI

In JCI, projects offer an excellent opportunity to make an impact while also learning about project management and working on projects in practice. Project activities extend from the local level to the regional, national, and even international levels, providing a wide range of opportunities for members. At JCI Oulu, we often utilize the QPM model (Quality Project Management) in our own project work. QPM has proven to be an effective tool for managing JCI projects, providing clear frameworks and tools for the project team, which helps ensure the successful and high-quality execution of the project.

The variety of projects within JCI is diverse. Examples of project topics include regional meetings, international conferences, the Arvoseminaari, recycling campaigns, anniversary celebrations, and even board game development. All of these are well-established projects that offer members the chance to participate, learn, and network.

As a member, you also have the opportunity to come up with your own project ideas and assemble a team to bring them to life. This gives you a unique chance to develop creative solutions and implement them in practice while gaining valuable experience in project management. Projects are at the heart of JCI activities, and through them, every member can experience personal growth and make a societal impact.
